Moroglu Arseven has offered its legal services to Bilkent University’s “Bosses of the Future” competition, which the firm describes as “an American Idol-style competition that starts August 18 and attracts up to 1,000 applicants vying for an opportunity to get their startup ideas funded by investors.”
Also according to a firm statement, Maroglu Arseven’s role “is to provide legal services to the finalists and interested investors. Entrepreneurs that receive angel investment and venture capital funding will then receive the firm’s legal assistance. Counseling services will include review of term sheets, execution of agreements and closing of transactions and share purchase agreements. Educational training sessions will also be conducted by the firm for both the entrepreneurs and investors.”
The competition began on August 18 with hopeful innovators pitching their business ideas to investors. The finalists will present their projects to the grand jury December 19, and the winner will be selected by the grand jury and receive a TRY 50,000 prize in addition to receiving legal services from Moroglu Arseven.
The firm explains that: “Entrepreneurship has taken off in Turkey where 65 percent of the population is under 30. The idea behind the competition is to keep up those creative ideas flowing and assist startups in getting off the ground.”
“We are proud to support to those involved in this competition,” Moroglu Arsevin Partner Burcu Tuzcu Ersin said. “Our goal as a firm is to assist businesses on all levels and it is particularly rewarding to work with young entrepreneurs and help them turn their ideas into reality.”
