    Lambadarios has advised Halcyon Equity Partners AIFM on its investment in Wheelsys. Kyriakides Georgopoulos advised Wheelsys and its founders Vasilis Devletoglou and Vana Papadimitriou.

    Wheelsys, also known as Wheels Car Rental System, is a Greek SaaS provider for the car rental and leasing sector. According to Lambadarios, this investment aims to accelerate Wheelsys’ growth and innovation.

  • KG Advises on Student Accommodation PPP Project in Greece

    Kyriakides Georgopoulos has advised the European Investment Bank and Piraeus Bank as the lenders on structuring and financing the University of Crete Student Accommodation Public-Private Partnership project, awarded to Aktor Group.

    According to KG, this is a first-of-its-kind student accommodation PPP in Greece, which is expected to serve as a pilot for future projects.

    Bernitsas has advised J.C. Flowers & Co. on its acquisition of Pepper Advantage Limited. Koutalidis advised Pepper Global on the sell-side.

    J.C. Flowers & Co. is a private investment firm that has invested over USD 18 billion in 67 portfolio companies across 18 countries. 

    Pepper Advantage Limited is a credit management firm with operations across Europe and Asia backed by investment firm KKR.

    Kyriakides Georgopoulos, working with Baker McKenzie, has advised Atlas Tapes on the acquisition of 100% of the paid-up share capital of PPM Industries Group from Auctus Capital Partners and the CEO of the PPM Industries group Matteo Pellegrini. Advant Nctm reportedly advised Auctus Capital Partners. PedersoliGattai reportedly advised PPM Industries and Matteo Pellegrini while Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati reportedly advised Matteo Pellegrini.

    Atlas Tapes is a manufacturer of packaging, paper, and masking tapes.

    PPM Industries Group is an adhesive tape manufacturer with production facilities in Italy, the UK, India, and the USA.

  • Bernitsas Advises CVC on Sale of Ethniki Hellenic General Insurance to Piraeus Bank

    Bernitsas has advised Ethniki Holdings Limited on the sale of its 90.01% stake in Ethniki Asfalistiki to Piraeus Bank for a total consideration of EUR 600 million on a 100% basis.

    The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.

    Ethniki Holdings Limited is managed by CVC Capital Partners Fund VII. CVC is a global private markets manager with 30 local offices and EUR 200 billion in assets under management

    Ethniki Asfalistiki is a premier insurance company in Greece with total assets of EUR 4 billion and a 14.5% market share.

    In 2017, Bernitsas advised on Exin Group’s acquisition of a majority stake in Ethniki Hellenic General Insurance (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on July 10, 2017).

  • Papapolitis & Papapolitis Advises on Oak Hill Advisor’s Investment in IDEAL Holdings

    Papapolitis & Papapolitis, working with Paul Weiss, has advised Oak Hill Advisors on its equity investment of up to EUR 115 million in IDEAL Holdings, with a co-investment right for an additional EUR 200 million over the next two years. Sarantitis and Reed Smith reportedly advised IDEAL Holdings.

    According to Papapolitis & Papapolitis, the transaction established a corporate vehicle to hold IDEAL Holdings’ investments, with OHA acquiring a 15% stake and an option to increase its stake by an additional 10%.

  • White & Case Advises Alpha Bank on Disposal of Real Estate Assets Portfolio in Greece

    White & Case has advised Alpha Bank on the partial disposal of a portfolio of real estate assets in Greece. Karatzas Partners reportedly advised Alpha Bank as well. Sullivan & Cromwell and Potamitis Vekris reportedly advised the buyers.

    According to White & Case, the transaction involved creating a holding structure initially valued at nearly EUR 400 million, which was later adjusted – following sales to third parties and certain exclusions – to encompass 460 assets valued at nearly EUR 300 million that will remain minority-owned by Alpha Bank.

  • Papapolitis & Papapolitis Advises on DoValue’s EUR 300 Million High-Yield Bond Offering for Strategic Debt Refinancing

    Papapolitis & Papapolitis, working with Linklaters and Studio Legale Associato, has advised the syndicate of arrangers and initial purchasers on DoValue’s pivotal EUR 300 million high-yield bond offering, aimed at refinancing its existing debt following the acquisition of Italian credit management company Gardant. Moratis Passas, working with White & Case, reportedly advised DoValue.

    DoValue is a provider of financial services in Southern Europe and is publicly listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
