  • Jeremiasz Kusmierz Promoted to Partner at Penteris

    Jeremiasz Kusmierz has been promoted to Partner at Penteris.

    Kusmierz’s primary areas of focus are compliance, corporate, and employment. He has been with the firm since 2020 when he joined as a Senior Associate, before taking over as the firm’s Head of Compliance in 2022. Earlier, he was an Associate with Magnusson between 2017 and 2019 as well as with Dentons between 2013 and 2017. Earlier still, he was a Junior Associate with Gessel between 2012 and 2013 and a Consultant at the Bureau of Research with the Chancellery of the Sejm between 2008 and 2010.

  • Vinzenz Waldhof Promoted to Partner at KWR

    Vinzenz Waldhof has been appointed Partner in the Construction & Real Estate team at KWR Karasek Wietrzyk Rechtsanwaelte.

    Waldhof has been a part of KWR since 2016 when he joined as an Associate and became a Junior Partner in 2020.

    Zalgirio Verslo Centras is a business center in Vilnius, Lithuania.

    Aggressive Capital is an investment company based in Lithuania.

  • AP Legal and Dentons Advise NLB on EUR 89 Million Facilities Agreement with MK Fintel Wind

    AP Legal and Dentons have advised NLB Komercijalna Banka Beograd and Nova Ljubljanska Banka Ljubljana on a EUR 89 million facilities agreement to MK Fintel Wind Beograd.

    According to AP Legal, the proceeds of the facilities were used to refinance a “previous syndicate of lenders which financed the development of Kosava 1 wind park located in Vrsac Municipality and for the financing of Kosava 2 wind park.”

    The AP Legal team included Managing Partner Aleksandar Preradovic, Partner Aleksandra Jovic, and Senior Associate Dusan Preradovic.

    The Dentons team included Bucharest-based Partner Simon Dayes and Senior Associate Lawrence Florescu, as well as additional lawyers in Duesseldorf.

  • Finreg Partners Advises Fundster on Obtaining Investment Crowdfunding License

    Finreg Partners has advised Fundster on obtaining an investment crowdfunding license in the Czech Republic.

    According to Finreg Partners, the license permits Fundster to facilitate the placement of corporate bonds and handle the reception and transmission of investor orders related to these bonds through the Fundster crowdfunding platform. 

    The Finreg Partners team included Partner Jan Sovar and Associate Denis Tichanek.

  • Dora Karagiorgou and Manolis Kasotakis Elevated to Partner at Koutalidis

    Koutalidis has promoted Senior Associates Dora Karagiorgou and Manolis Kasotakis to Partner as part of its latest promotion round.

    Karagiorgou has been with the firm since 2007, when she joined as an Associate. She was promoted to Senior Associate in 2016. Her primary area of focus is employment law.

    Kasotakis’ primary areas of focus are litigation and commercial arbitration. He has been with the firm since 2010.

  • Dentons Advises Exus Renewables on Acquisition of 53-Megawatt Wind Farm Portfolio in Poland

    Dentons has advised Exus Renewables on establishing business operations in Poland and the acquisition of a 53-megawatt wind farm portfolio.

    According to Dentons, “located in west-central Poland, the 30-megawatt and 23-megawatt wind farms are currently under construction and are expected to be operational in 2025. The projects will have an additional 65 megawatts of photovoltaic capacity through cable pooling, which is also under development.”

    Exus Renewables is a renewable energy company. It manages 6 gigawatts of renewable assets across Europe.

  • Five Ex-Hogan Lovells Partners and Team Join Roedl & Partner in Warsaw

    Andrzej Debiec, Katarzyna Debinska-Pietrzyk, Wojciech Marchwicki, Piotr Skurzynski, and Agnieszka Szczodra-Hajduk have joined Roedl & Partner as Partners alongside a wider ex-Hogan Lovells team of 14 lawyers.

    Debiec, who primarily focuses on tax, was a Partner at Hogan Lovells between 2000 and 2025. Earlier, he was a Partner with CMS between 1999 and 2000 and, earlier still, a Partner with Jeantet between 1992 and 1999.

    Debinska-Pietrzyk’s primary area of focus is real estate. Before the move, she was a Partner with Hogan Lovells between 2022 and 2025. Earlier, she was a Local Partner with DWF between 2019 and 2021 as well as a Partner with CMS between 2017 and 2019. Earlier still, she worked for Baker McKenzie between 2006 and 2017.

    Marchwicki is a dispute resolution specialist. Before joining Roedl & Partner, he was with Hogan Lovells as a Senior Associate between 2016 and 2018, a Counsel between 2019 and 2022, and finally a Partner between 2023 and 2025. Earlier, he was a Senior Associate with Wardynski & Partners between 2015 and 2016 and an Associate with Dentons between 2006 and 2012.

    Skurzynski focuses on antitrust, competition, and economic regulation. Before joining Roedl & Partner, he was with Hogan Lovells as Counsel between 2017 and 2025. Earlier, he was an Of Counsel and Head of Competition at Eversheds Sutherland between 2015 and 2017 and a Senior Associate with Linklaters between 2005 and 2015.

    Szczodra-Hajduk’s primary focus is employment law. Before the move, she was with Hogan Lovells between 1999 and 2025 and was the firm’s Head of Employment in Warsaw between 2022 and 2025.

  • Walless and Cobalt Advise on InMedica’s Sale to Mehilainen

    Walless has advised InMedica on its sale to Mehilainen. Cobalt advised Mehilainen.

    The transaction remains contingent on regulatory approval.

    InMedica Group is a Lithuanian private medical services network.

    Mehilainen is a Finland-based healthcare company.

    In 2022, Walless advised on InMedica’s acquisition of the Vilnius Implantology Center Clinic (as reported by CEE Legal Matters on September 29, 2022).

    The Walless team included Managing Partner Dovile Burgiene, Partner Expert Arturas Grimaila, and Associate Ieva Pikaite.

    The Cobalt team included Managing Partner Irmantas Norkus, Partner Juozas Rimas, Specialist Counsel Sandra Juozaitiene, and Senior Associate Augustinas Petkevicius.
